Don't let the British accent fool you, Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger) is as American as ... baseball. The star of Marvel's Agent Carter may have grown up in London, but she spent her holidays and summers in Kansas City, Missouri, where her father is from.

That's why it isn't a surprise to see Atwell throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before tonight's Kansas City Royals and Cleveland Indians baseball game. In her honor, Sluggerrr, the mascot of the Royals, caught Atwell's pitch with a makeshift Captain America shield.
