'Hero By Night' Coming to Television

In case you hadn’t heard, DJ Coffman’s “Hero By Night” is coming to television. The story centers on a landlord named Jack that discovers the lair of the Hero By Night. In an effort to make some extra money, Jack auctions the Hero’s journal on eBay. Unfortunately, Jack winds up attracting the attention of Hero by Night’s old arch-enemy. Coffman, the award winning writer, apparently wasn’t part of the negotiations according to the Hollywood Reporter. IM Global and Platinum Studios, Inc. are developing the television series, which is based on the Comic Book Challenge winner “Hero By Night.” IM Global will produce and handle worldwide distribution for the show. Platinum Studios’ Chairman and CEO Scott Mitchell Rosenberg and IM Global’s Stuart Ford and Gavin Reardon are set to executive produce the series along with Rigberg Entertainment Group’s Glenn Rigberg. Platinum Studios’ vice president of Film and TV Rich Marincic will co-produce and former Universal Pictures’ senior executive, Randy Greenberg, of The Greenberg Group, will co-executive produce. “We are very happy to be working with Stuart and IM Global -- Stuart is one of those rare entertainment executives who has a keen understanding of the business of entertainment and what makes for compelling entertainment,” said Mitchell Rosenberg. “Hero By Night is a wonderful young adult weekly adventure series.” “Hero By Night provides a wonderful opportunity to make action-adventure wish-fulfillment weekly television,” said Stuart Ford. “Platinum Studios depth of story and characters is unparalleled and presents a fantastic opportunity for IM Global and we are pleased to be working on this project with them.”
