Joss Whedon Talks Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Marvel Phase Two

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Marvel's The Avengers and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. director Joss Whedon took time out on the red carpet of this weekend's MTV Movie Awards to discuss the future of Marvel Phase Two. "I've gotten to look at everything and see behind the curtain on all the stuff and Kevin Feige has a really clear vision and it runs through all these movies," Whedon said. "They're very different but they really are what the next story should be--so I'm very excited about it," Whedon said in the interview embedded below. He added that they begin filming Avengers 2 in February, saying that even though he didn't think he would get the second film, he did have an idea in the back of his mind for what it would be. "We just started finishing last week and it's a different view of the Marvel Universe but it's very much Marvel," Whedon said of the S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot. "That's the stuff I love because I grew up on it. You've got your cast and you've got trouble every week but you don't have a dead body every week."
