In a new interview over at S.H.I.E.L.D.Site, Marvel's head of television Jeph Loeb told reporters that onetime Wonder Woman Adrienne Palicki's performance as Mockingbird "feels so much like part of our cast that you don't even remember when there wasn't Bobbi Morse on the show."

The character, who will make her debut in the fifth episode of the show's second season, is a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and scientist whose potential is wide open.

"We absolutely know that Bobbi Morse is a very important character and has a huge possible future in terms of where she goes," Loeb said.

You can check out more on the Mockingbird/S.H.I.E.L.D. dynamic at the link above. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premiered tonight and will be back next Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

Crave Online also spoke with Palicki about the role today.

"I know if I play this character, I probably would never play another Marvel character," Palicki admitted in the interview, in which she briefly discussed Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, saying she looks forward to seeing the performance. "There's different questions you have to ask, and you ask about that too. Where is this character going? All those silly fears that you get being locked into something, but I have to say working with this group of people has been amazing. These producers and show runners are fantastic and I trust them implicitly. Marvel's been really fun to work with as well, so I'm looking forward to it and I hope it's a long run for us."

Assuming no delays, Palicki's first episode should air on October 21.
