New Angry Birds Trailer Released

Sony's upcoming Angry Birds looks to take a the admittedly fun and addictive gameplay of the mobile game and turn it into a feature film. At first, I wasn't very keen on this idea, but with time, and a few trailers, I think I'm starting to come around.

The newest trailer, which can be seen above, gives us a closer look at the general plotline, which centers around the arriving green pigs befriending the birds, only to steal their eggs right out from under them. It will be up to Red (Jason Sudeikis), Chuck (Josh Gad), and Bomb (Danny McBride) to lead their people and get their eggs back.

Towards the end we also see how the creative team fit in the slingshot mechanic that helped Angry Birds become such a hit, and the art direction is delightfully so bright and colorful. As long as the talented voice-cast bring the humor (featuring comedians like Kate McKinnon, Hannibal Burress, and Keegan-Michael Key), fans should be in for a good time.

Angry Birds releases on May 13th.
