Oni Press Exclusive: Invader Zim Variant Cover by Dave Crosland

Oni Press has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive first look at Dave Crosland's variant cover for Invader Zim #1, due out next month from the publisher.

This particular cover is the Hot Topic variant, to be sold exclusively at the retailer arguably most closely associated with Invader Zim in the years since the show went off the air. They've been instrumental to keeping the show's ravenous fan base flush with new merch since Nickelodeon pulled the plug in 2006.

Invader Zim #1, from writer Jhonen Vasquez, penciler and writer Aaron Alexovich, writer Eric Trueheart, inker Megan Lawton and colorist Rikki Simons (the voice of GIR in the cartoon that inspired the series) will be available on July 1, 2015, with a number of variant covers including a Comic Con International: San Diego variant.
