Philip Seymour Hoffman To Be Digitally Recreated In Hunger Games

is reporting that Philip Seymour Hoffman will be digitally recreated by filmmakers to complete the filming of one major, yet-to-be-shot scene in the The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2. Editors will employ different camera tricks and graphical effects to film a heartfelt scene with Hoffman's character, Plutarch Heavensbee. Hoffman's untimely death from a heroin overdose came before his final days of shooting on the film, when the scene was originally to be shot. "You can do digital things, you can have conversations where you're not focusing on him but the people he's talking to," a source from Lionsgate told The Hollywood Reporter. The scene will appear in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, coming to theaters November 20, 2015.
