Imagine this: You're a cute little Pikachu trying to live your best life when, suddenly, a barrage of pokéballs are chucked at your head. You use agility, but alas, you're ultimately caught by some unassuming trainer who didn't know how much you valued your freedom. Well, in the beautiful town of Basel, a group of 'pokémon' set out to get revenge against Pokémon GO trainers. And, to do so, they apparently needed a ton of inflatable pokéballs.

A prank video entitled "THE REVENGE Pokémon Go" was uploaded to fadeoutTrash TV the other day, and Pokémon fans everywhere are loving the hilarious clip. The video begins simply enough as a group of people dressed in Pikachu costumes are seen crowded into the back of a white van. The vehicle rolls up to a man playing Pokémon GO as he sits by a water fountain, and sadly, the player had no idea what would happen next. I mean, how was he supposed to know a GIANT pokéball was about to come flying at him, knocking the dude into the water behind him.

The rest of the video goes on to show a montage where the Pikachu warriors attack various Pokémon GO players as they meander about Basel. Plenty of trainers look shocked before they laugh off the encounter. However, there are a few stunned players who opt to run from the Pikachu posse and, well, a chase obviously occurs.

For those wondering why the video was even made, there's actually a pretty great reason for it. Located in northwestern Switzerland, Basel has clearly caught PokéFever as the town sponsored the video for tourism purposes. The prank clips all take place in the city's scenic, tourist areas like the Basel Football Club Stadium and Rhine River.

In fact, at the end of the video, Basel directs viewers to visit their official tourism site which now features a specific Pokemon section. The page promises tourists that they'll be able to catch all sorts of pokemon in the city, saying, "Pokémon fever is also rife in Basel. All digital monster hunters are bound to be rewarded in the historic Old Town, near the well-known sights, in many of its parks and by the banks of the Rhine. Arenas and PokéStops can be found at prominent places all over the city, for example by some of the fountains or important buildings. A walk through the historic Old Town of Basel leads you to Pikachu, Dratini & Co. through winding alleyways past famous landmarks and monuments. They are hidden near the city gates, the Basler Münster, Mittlere Brücke and other tourist attractions."
