The Pittsburgh Pirates are in a tight race with the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals in the top division in Major League Baseball right now, but that doesn't mean they can't still have a bit of fun. After winning the game (and the series) in L.A., they decided to celebrate in style - costumed style, that is.
There's Captain America, Deadpool, a couple of Ninja Turtles, a stormtrooper, some Ghostbusters, and for some reason: Alf, and yes, those are all professional baseball players. The whole team dressed up in often ridiculous costumes, wearing them in the locker room at Dodgers Stadium, and all the way to Denver, including the plane ride. Check out a few more of the closeups below, including pitcher AJ Burnett finally dressed as Batman, his favorite character and nickname.

And yes, to my Pittsburgh-based in-laws and Pirates-fan wife, this post is for you.
