According to the Manchester Evening News, on Wednesday, July 27, while playing Pokémon GO, Paul Morris came across a cow that had gotten its head stuck between some railings.

"Some of my friends told me there were a few Pikachus around Wythenshawe Park so I went out to look for some. I almost caught one and then it escaped so had to search for another," Morris explained. "A few minutes later a second one popped up the other side of the park. But when I got there I found the cow stuck in the feeder."

The cow was thrashing around trying to escape, so Morris alertly called the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were notified of the incident as well.

"Goodness knows how she got it in there - but she was stuck fast and could not get out," Andy Harris, an RSPCA Inspector, said. "Not only was she trapped but the ground was quite boggy so we had real difficulties getting her out. We called the fire service for assistance as we had no other way of freeing her. After a while and thanks to the help of the Greater Manchester Fire Service we were able to release her and return her to the herd - looking much happier and much less embarrassed!"

"We are really grateful to Paul for calling us as this poor cow could've seriously hurt herself trying to escape," Harris added. "Apparently people are finding all sorts of things while they are out searching for Pokemon but I don't think he expected to see this.
