The episode opens with Sheldon enjoying the great outdoors...via his new virtual reality goggles. Leonard and Penny interrupt him and point out that he hates the outdoors, but Sheldon mentions a study that found that people increase their reasoning skills by 50% when they go to the woods and abandon technology for four days. Penny asks if that study is correct, why aren't there more genius squirrels, which absolutely mortifies Sheldon.

Later that evening, Amy interrupts Sheldon's VR trip into nature, and Amy suggests they actually go and spend a weekend in nature. Sheldon's less than thrilled, even when Penny mentions they could use a cabin owned by one of her (female) doctor friends. However, Sheldon quickly changes his tune when Amy points out that, if the study is accurate, Leonard could return from his jaunt to the woods smarter than Sheldon.

Over at Howard and Bernadette's house, Howard is surprised to see Raj helping Bernadette with her errands. Bernadette mentions that Raj has been doting on her even since he found out she was pregnant. Of course, Raj takes it to an extreme when he sends Bernadette a list of lactation specialists and says he's already picked a favorite.

The next day, Penny mocks Leonard for his outdoors get-up (he's wearing a Hufflepuff baseball cap) until Sheldon arrives looking like he's about to enter the Amazon. Penny doesn't take a shot at the easy target, though, leaving Leonard to wonder why his wife is so mean.

Bernadette watches a birthing video (that Raj forwarded to her), and Howard asks if she thinks if Raj is crossing any boundaries. Bernadette says that Raj just wants to be part of the experience, and shows Howard an ultrasound microphone that Raj bought so they could listen to the baby's heartbeat. However, when Bernadette says they should wait to use it until Raj gets there, Howard snarkily says that he's surprised that Raj let them conceive a baby without his approval, to which Bernadette responds that it's a touchy subject with Raj.

In the car, Sheldon points out that phone service is down to one bar, to which Amy asks if he's ever been "off the grid". Sheldon replies that he was once...when his phone briefly died and he had to wait for his iPad to turn on.

Howard continues to express his concern about Raj being a little overzealous to Bernadette, but she dismisses him until Raj brings a giant teddy bear into their house.

Penny and the others arrive at the cabin, and Sheldon wants to immediately check for ticks. Amy thinks it's a silly idea at first, but when Sheldon de-pants, she's suddenly a lot more interested.

Later that day, the gang's planned hike is interrupted by a sudden rainstorm. After Sheldon shoots down a suggestion to play board games, Penny suggests they light a fire. Both Sheldon and Leonard start to brainstorm the physics behind lighting a successful fire, but Penny quickly just lights the fire herself.

Howard and Bernadette decide to talk to Raj about boundaries, which Raj takes pretty hard. He sadly takes the giant bear and leaves, but not before trashing their house.

That evening, Penny suggests they play the drinking game "Never Have I Ever". They quickly discover that Sheldon was arrested for jay-walking (he was trying to escape an aggressive Girl Scout from selling him cookies). The game quickly escalates into a war of secrets between Penny and Leonard (Penny once used Sheldon's toothbrush to clean the sink, while Leonard calls his penis 'Alvin and the Chipmunks'). Sheldon tries to get on the fun by pointing out that Leonard has a secret bank account because he thinks that Penny can't handle money, but that of course goes over like a lead balloon. Penny and Leonard start fighting and Penny storms off.

Howard and Bernadette quickly change their mind about pushing Raj away, especially when Bernadette's hormones get the better of him. When Howard says he'll bring Raj back, Bernadette says to grab the giant bear too. After retrieving both Raj and the bear, Howard says he just needs to do his share and they decide to listen to the baby's heartbeat...although Raj makes it weird again by asking if he can squirt the ultrasound jelly on Bernadette's stomach. Listening to the baby's heartbeat, they share a tender moment as they bask in the miracle that is making a tiny human.

Leonard apologizes to Penny about the bank account, but Penny says that she has a secret too: she hates her job. However, Penny doesn't want to go back to waiting tables and trying to act and she doesn't want to give up her job because it makes lots of money.

While Leonard and Penny patch things up, Amy and Sheldon continue playing the lamest game of "Never Have I Ever" ever. As they compare all the things they've never done, it proves that they're perfect for one another. The episode ends with Sheldon finally getting one on Amy, when she reveals that she once pushed every button in an elevator.
