John Malkovich has joined the cast of a comic book convention mockery film called Supercon.

The movie, which is currently filming in New Orleans, will follow a group of washed up TV stars and comic book artists who make their livings by attending comic conventions around the country. Desperate for success, the misfit group comes up with a plan to rob the convention and bring their own brand of justice to a crooked promoter and overbearing former TV icon.

Malkovich, best known for Dangerous Liasons, Being John Malkovich, and Burn After Reading, recently starred in 100 Years and has the action flick Deepwater Horizon coming up later this year.

He joins a cast of LOST alum Maggie Grace, comedian Mike Epps, Russell Peters, Clancy Brown, and CariDee English in Supercon.

Supercon is directed by Zak Knutson, who has a long history with comic book community icon Kevin Smith. Knutson co-wrote the film with Andrew Sipes.
