During the 24th annual Billboard Music Awards, Madonna performed an emotional tribute to Prince. The legendary singer passed away unexpectedly in April of this year at the age of 57.
Billboard Music Awards producers began planning a way to pay tribute to Prince shortly after his death, and Madonna became involved in those conversations.
During her tribute, Madonna performed a couple of memorable songs by Prince. During Purple Rain, Madonna was joined on stage by Stevie Wonder.
