Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm, and Oscar Isaac, who stars in the new Star Wars episodic films as pilot Poe Dameron, have both been named to 2016's "Time 100," noting the most influential people in the world.

Kennedy's entry was under the category "Titans" alongside people like Mark Zuckerberg and wife Priscilla Chan, NBA MVP Stephen Curry, and Pope Francis, leader of the Catholic Church.

"Since her legendary career is defined by her refusal to be easily definable, Kathy will surprise me only if she's ever unsurprising, and I'm not worried," Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner wrote in Kennedy's entry. The super producer has worked on Star Wars, Spielberg hits, and indies like Persepolis. "Now she's the de facto empress of a far-faraway cosmos, which seems to me the best thing that's happened to big movie franchises since she joined Spielberg in creating the form." He continued, "the constant in Kathy Kennedy's career is her interest in investigating liberation, equality, justice, community—the decidedly human concerns that constitute the core of the art of making films."

Isaac, meanwhile, comes into the list under Artists, and his entry was written by director Paul Haggis, who directed him in the HBO mini-series Show Me a Hero. "While his instincts were great, he was also brave enough to take real risks," Haggis wrote. He shared a story about their shoot, and overcoming challenges. Isaac, in additional to starring in Star Wars: Episode VIII currently shooting, is also the titular villain in X-Men: Apocalypse, while also continuing to explore smaller-budget and independent films with which he's built his career.
