Star Wars has always found a way to keep things under wraps, and they only seem to get better over the years. With a few new films on the way for the franchise, there are plenty of details that fans are waiting to discover.
One of these big secrets was just revealed this week, as Woody Harrelson revealed the name of this character in the Han Solo standalone film.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, the two men got to talking about Harrelson's role in the upcoming film. After being asked about it, Harrelson revealed that his character's name is Beckett.
In addition to the name, the actor also revealed that his character is a bit of a criminal, and a mentor to Han.
Many speculated that Harrelson would be playing Garris Shrike, a mentor from Han Solo's past. Some thought that Harrelson confirmed this fact at an interview awhile back, but he was misspoken. This however, was very straightforward.
There isn't a character in Star Wars lore names Beckett, so this character is likely a brand new addition to the universe. The only other option is that he will be an altered version of an existing character.
Han Solo: A Star Wars Story is filming now under directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller for a May 25, 2018 release.
