The Trembol family had elected to abandon Broke Jaw Ranch in an effort to protect themselves from the threat of Walker and his Native American group. However, the biggest threat they would face was within Broke Jaw Ranch. Troy Otto was not ready to let anyone abandon the community which his family had worked so hard to build so he saw an opportunity to use this family as a scare tactic to motivate others to stay within the community’s walls.

Upon arrival at the Trembol’s RV, Jeremiah found Vernon and his wife stumbling around the interior as walkers. Around the back, Mike had been killed and put down. Then, Alicia’s friend Gretchen was found snacking on a horse in the trailer as a full blown zombie.

This is one of many talked about scenes from Fear the Walking Dead‘s third season which has completely turned around the fans’ perspective of the series.

“Madison’s priorities remain keeping her family safe but she’s growing beyond that,” Madison actress Kim Dickens told ComicBook.com. “Because I think, she’s said it in Season 2, Madison, I don’t want her to survive, I want her to start over. So Madison, you know, beyond keeping her family safe, she wants to rebuild her civilization and make a home for themselves. And that will begin to include other people as well.”

The threats from Walker are only the beginning on Fear the Walking Dead. The new character insisted Troy and his family abandon Broke Jaw Ranch. Troy, of course, refused. This will likely lead to a costly showdown between the two groups.

“Am I going to defend it? Yeah,” Jeremiah Otto actor Dayton Callie said. “It’s like you own a house, you going to defend it? Yeah you’re going to defend it. If you can if you’re capable. I’m hoping we’re capable. I got to get the other idiots to believe in it.”
