As unflattering as it may be, fans of The Walking Dead think they spotted the writer/creator of the hit series in the midseason 7 finale on Sunday night in zombie form.

Likely not Robert Kirkman, the zombie in question was floating around the lake and chomping at the bit for a taste of Rick or Aaron. An alternate look at the scene shown on Talking Dead following the episode revealed it not to be the man behind the apocalypse.

Still, it was a missed opportunity not to make a joke about the resemblance on Talking Dead In Memoriam segment — which already had its hands full with the sendoffs of Spencer, Olivia, and Fat Joey.

The zombie in question is in the photo below.

Of course, if Kirkman were to ever cameo on his hit series, it would likely be in a scene less demanding than floating around in a lake all day. A cameo for the writer seems something out of character for him, altogether.

The scene which saw Rick and Aaron paddle to the houseboat was filmed on the Raleigh Studios set of the show, at the same lake which the Governor dumped a body in years ago, though the setting on television was vastly different.
