Excellent The Walking Dead Memes To Help Off-Season Withdrawal

The Season 7 finale saw Rick Grimes backed into a corner and put on his knees at the mercy of Negan just like the Season 6 finale did a year earlier.
This time, the outcome was different. Negan's extravagant ranting cost him the opportunity to kill Carl! Just as the villain was going to bring the bat down on Carl's head, Shiva the tiger and the Kingdom came to the rescue of everyone in Alexandria.
The meme above takes an image of Andrew Lincoln on set in an earlier season and slaps a hilarious lower third from a news broadcast, capturing the news of Shiva rescuing Rick in the finale.
United Airlines
A few weeks ago, all of the talk online was about the man who was pulled off a United Airlines flight after refusing to give up his seat on an overbooked flight. The violent ordeal which saw the man yanked out of his seat and dragged off the plane took social media by storm.
Immediately, fans of The Walking Dead jumped in to compare the situation to Negan's arrival on the AMC series.
In the meme above, Negan marches down the aisle on a United Airlines flight with a scarf re-colored to match their brand, selecting a victim to be removed from the flight with his iconic "eeny, meeny, miny, moe" song.
Always Ready
Thanks to The Walking Dead, every sound we hear when taking the trash out after sundown is a walker.
At the same time, the zombie drama we love so much on Sunday nights is also the reason we are prepared to quickly evaluate every room or building we enter as a potential hideout from zombies. Always know your exits, which items can be used to put down walkers, and how you can block the doors to keep the dead inside!
Fat Cat
Harping on The Walking Dead's Season 7 finale once again, Shiva basically had her own Thanksgiving feast after rescuing Carl and Rick. She ate so many of Negan's Saviors that the tiger had to pack on a couple of pounds.
When The Walking Dead returns for Season 8, the tiger might just be a little less vicious and mobile after such a stuffing meal! The meme above takes Shiva's "nom nom nom" moments and turns them into the completely necessary recovery nap which had to have come after it.
Rest now, Shiva. You will be needed when the war begins.
October Strength
The off-season isn't easy for anybody. Sometimes, you need to find the strength to just survive somehow.
For Negan and many of The Walking Dead fans, they may turn to the belvoed barbed wire wrapped baseball bat Lucille to gain the strength they need to continue in the off-season.
In a photo taken from The Walking Dead's midseason 7 finale, a fan captions it, "No Walking Dead until October? Lucille give me strength." The truth of it is Negan actually did say, "Lucille give me strength," but it was because Rosita had just out a bullet in her beautiful skin.
Hug It Out
Throughout the off-season, we all just need a hug sometimes.
One of the best moments in The Walking Dead's seventh season was when Rick and Daryl reunited at the Hilltop. Their hug and understanding that it is time to rise up against Negan warmed the hearts of the 12 million fans in attendance of the midseason 7 finale.
Making the scene even better? How about adding Shiva the tiger to the hug? Little did the fan who photoshopped this photo together know that Shiva would end up being a valuable ally to Rick and the group in the Season 7 finale which would air 8 episodes later!
Eugene, No!
Eugene's betrayal of Rick Grimes and the Alexandria Safe-Zone he once called home in favor of Negan and the Saviors was cold blooded. The coward is doing what it takes to survive but is burning every bridge with those he once cared about in the process.
In the meme above, the best known villain of all time, Darth Vader, recruits Eugene to the Dark Side. It's the perfect metaphor for Negan's recruiting of Eugene which used pickles, wives, and protection as the only necessary benefits to earn his loyalty.
