Earlier this year we wrote about how the Walking Dead was entering the adult comic book craze which has been sweeping best seller lists. Quartz even had a story with the title "If you want to be a bestselling author, make an adult coloring book."

Fans of the comic book might squint a bit at the idea of The Walking Dead having colors at all so for the original coloring book that Image released they made the great joke, "Sure, THE WALKING DEAD has never had color, but don't let that stop you from coloring in all your favorite survivors and zombies! Just make sure to stock up on plenty of red…"

Just released today was the cover for a followup coloring book by Walking Dead creator's studio, Skybound - this time the book seems to focus on the lead character Rick Grimes. Artist Charlie Adlard, who has been the penciller on The Walking Dead since 2004 tweeted out the cover image with the comment "And as a bonus here is the cover to the #TWD Rick Grimes Colouring Book. Out in October. @TheWalkingDead @Skybound"

The original Walking Dead coloring book was released on May 4, 2016 and is currently available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Indiebound. The Walking Dead TV series on AMC also received its own coloring book with Andrew Lincoln's likeness on the cover with the cast behind him. You can see the cover here.
