Peyton, Ravi, and Blaine speak to the authorities about the Boss murders. Blaine says that the murders were carried out because he and Boss had unreciprocated feelings for Peyton.

Liv is back at her apartment, contemplating about what she let happen to Drake. She says that the only thing holding her together is that she still had soldier brains in her system. Peyton, Ravi, Major, and Clive are also at her apartment, processing their night, and Liv brings them all drinks.

Clive accuses Peyton of being romantically involved with Blaine, which she doesn’t outright deny. Liv suggests that the group be honest with each other going forward. Liv reveals what Vivian told her – that she is also a zombie, and Seattle is going to become a zombie-friendly city.

Liv suggests that she, Major, and Clive go visit Vivian tomorrow to see exactly what her intentions are, and they both agree.

Blaine sees Donny, looking for his money in the funeral home. Donny blames Blaine for everything that has happened with the zombie cure. Donny quits his job and walks downstairs. He grabs his stuff to leave, but goes back to pull a body out of the walk-in freezer. It’s Chief. Donny looks through is pockets and finds nothing. He moves the cart back, but discovers another body on the bottom rung of it. It’s Blaine’s dad.

Major and Ravi arrive at their house. They find it vandalized, with “Chaos Killer” written on the outside.

Liv and Major meet Clive at FG Enterprises. Since both of them are still on soldier brains, they criticize Clive for being late to their meeting. They head inside.

Vivian watches a news report about the Chaos Killer incident. Liv, Major, and Clive are brought in. Vivian explains that FG’s goal is to prepare to fight back for ‘discovery day’ – when human society realizes that zombies are among them. FG also owns the formula for the Super Max serum, which will help make zombies stronger against an attack from their human counterparts. Clive asks if Vivian is declaring war on the human population, and she laughs.

She shows the trio a map of a small island off of Seattle’s coast. It’s owned by FG, and will become ‘Zombie Island’ in around a year-in-a-half, in an effort to self-segregate themselves from the humans.

Liv asks how Vivian became a zombie. Vivian explains that she became a zombie so her zombie husband wouldn’t divorce her, but he was killed soon after by another zombie for trying to extort brains. Vivian also explains that all of her employees were infected with a virus around July 4th, and she saved them by turning them into zombies. FG now holds a whole school of zombie children as well. Clive runs into Wally, a kid who used to be his neighbor.

After the tour, Liv, Major, and Clive debate about whether or not to keep FG a secret.

They ultimately tell Ravi. At the morgue, he and Liv discuss their emotional troubles over Drake and Peyton.

Blaine harvests brains, while listening to a radio report about Rob Thomas’ death. He begins singing, but hears Peyton arrive. Peyton tells Blaine that Mr. Boss made it out of the country. Peyton reveals that she still feels a little unsafe after her kidnapping, but thanks Blaine for saving her. Blaine offers to comfort her in the future, which Peyton finds ironic given their past – which Blaine doesn’t remember.

Major stands in line at a coffee shop. He sees a newspaper report about the party and the Chaos Killer victims, with his picture included. He orders a drink, but the barista is momentarily caught off guard by his face. He waits for his coffee while looking through the Classifieds in the paper. When his drink arrives, Major begins to drink it, before setting it down and walking away. On the label, the barista has written ‘Chaos Killer.’

Ravi reveals to Clive that there are seventeen doses of the zombie cure. Clive realizes that Liv and Major haven’t taken the cure yet because they don’t want to suffer the same retrograde amnesia as Blaine. Ravi explains that Major will suffer side effects of his own, as the first ‘cure’ will possibly cause him to develop pneumonia and die if he doesn’t take the newer cure. Ravi reveals that he has been working on a formula to reverse memory loss, and that the formula is almost successful.

Liv comes in and reveals that she heard a radio report on her way into work. A right-wing radio host, Chuck Bird, announced that he will be having a witness to the Max Rager party on his show, and that their revelation will change society as we know it. Clive agrees that they need to stop that interview from happening.

Liv and Clive drive to the radio station as the interview is beginning to happen. They barge into the recording room, but not before the witness – Billy, a security guard at the party – reveals that the guests were eating brains.

Liv and Clive drive back to the police station as they listen to Chuck Bird’s report. Clive suggests going public with their side of the story to counteract what Chuck Bird is saying, but Liv says that that would just cause more of a mess. Liv begins to cry, because the soldier brain she was on is wearing off and she’s beginning to feel remorse over killing Drake. Clive comforts her, saying that what she did was merciful.

Peyton walks into the apartment, on the phone with a friend from college. The friend tells her to check something out on Twitter.

Clive brings Liv back into the morgue as her brain is wearing off. Ravi is about to inject the rats with his brain serum. Clive thanks Liv again for what she did at the party, because it saved his life in the process. He leaves. Ravi gets a phone call from Peyton, but ignores it.

Peyton leaves a message asking Ravi for company because she is being tweeted hate mail. Ravi is about to listen to the voicemail when Major comes in. He reveals that he got a new job, despite the accusations of him being the Chaos Killer.

Blaine sings and plays the organ in the funeral home. He gets a phone call from Peyton, who asks if she can hang out with him.

Donny unfreezes Blaine’s dad from Blaine’s freezer. Donny suggests the two team up to take down Blaine, as long as Blaine’s dad gives Donny money. He agrees.

A new body arrives at the morgue. The director of the CDC – and Ravi’s old boss – comes in and asks to examine the body, which was found at the Max Rager party.

She examines the body and starts to find brain in the victim’s stomach. She asks Ravi and Liv for guidance, but they both get phone calls about a new murder.

Liv and Ravi arrive at the scene. They discover very little blood and Max Rager cans in the victim’s pocket. Liv and Ravi hear screaming in the other end of the house and follow it. They find Clive, and figure out that this was Wally’s family’s house. Clive realizes that the family was killed for being zombies. Liv and Clive agree that humans can’t know about zombies this early, and that they’ll solve the case on their own.

Vivian receives a phone call and grows distraught from it. She goes to FG’s school and speaks to the class about what happened to Wally’s family. Liv waits at the door outside, and Vivian follows her outside. Liv begins to talk to her, and then leaves the compound. She runs into Major, who’s now a member of FG’s army.
