In Captain America: Civil War, after Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) escaped the superhero-on-superhero fight at Leipzig/Halle Airport on a Quinjet and headed toward the Siberian Hydra base, the rest of Team Cap — Wanda/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Scott Lang/Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), and Clint Barton/Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) — is captured and imprisoned at The Raft, an underwater prison located in the middle of the Atlantic ocean that's capable of detaining and incarcerating enhanced and/or superpowered individuals.

However, that almost wasn't the first time The Raft made an appearance in a Marvel film. A CBM user, VISIONaryNPa, was combing through the extended and deleted scenes for 20th Century Fox's Deadpool when he came across a deleted scene featuring the correctional facility. The scene, which would have probably taken place near the beginning of the film, shows Ed Skrein's Ajax (aka Francis) being brought back to shore by a boat after spending time in "The Raft Prison."

Since Deadpool went into production and was released before Civil War, there's a good shot those associated with the Fox film weren't even aware that The Raft was going to make an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Perhaps, they received a heads-up from Marvel Studios before the film was released and were politely asked to cut it. Either way, it's a neat reference but not a huge loss.

Hold onto your chimichangas, folks. From the studio that brought you all 3 Taken films comes the block-busting, fourth-wall-breaking masterpiece about Marvel Comics' sexiest anti-hero! Starring God's perfect idiot Ryan Reynolds and a bunch of other "actors," DEADPOOL is a giddy slice of awesomeness packed with more twists than Deadpool's enemies' intestines and more action than prom night. Amazeballs!

Deadpool was directed by Tim Miller, based on a screenplay by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick ("Zombieland"). The cast featured Ryan Reynolds ("Green Lantern") as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, Morena Baccarin ("Gotham") as Vanessa, Ed Skrein ("Game of Thrones") as Francis Freeman/Ajax, T. J. Miller ("Silicon Valley") as Weasel, Gina Carano ("Fast & Furious 6") as Angel Dust, Leslie Uggams ("Roots") as Blind Al, Brianna Hildebrand ("First Girl I Loved") as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Stefan Kapičić ("Numb3rs") as the voice of Peter Rasputin/Colossus.
