The Walking Dead season 7 is heading our way soon, and from the previews it looks like Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his trusty bat Lucille will be in control of the chaos.

AMC released a new trailer today, hinting that it's "Negan's Way" or the highway.

In a recent interview, Jeffrey Dean Morgan explained what to expect from his version of Negan in the upcoming season:

"If I just make this guy manic and kind of one dimensional then I don't have anywhere to go. So I thought, for me, and especially after doing that first episode, the introduction, and some head bashing, there had to be a place I could go. I try to make every scene a little bit of a rollercoaster so you don't know. So it'll keep you on your toes of where Negan is, and I only have so much I can go on working on the comic book."

After the events of last season, fans have been anxiously awaiting to find out who Negan killed, even coming up with plenty of theories of their own. However, The Walking Dead has managed to keep the deceased a complete mystery.

Season 7 is set to pick up the second that season 6 left off, with someone's head getting bashed in at the hand of Negan's best friend, Lucille.

The Walking Dead season 7 premieres on October 23, 2016 on AMC.
