Things are about to get much cuter in the Batman universe. Beginning with February 10th's Valentines Day-themed issue, DC Entertainment's popular, digital-first series Batman: Li'l Gotham by Dustin Nguyen and Derek Fridolfs will become a regular, bi-monthly series. A print edition of the series will launch in April. Following the success of the four holiday-themed installments released October-January, the February 10th issue will have a Valentines Day theme (seen at left). The series has garnered critical acclaim and sales success on ComiXology, despite getting off to a rocky start after controversy threatened to overwhelm the first issue before it was even published. Promotional artwork released prior to the October issue and even in the issue first featured Stephanie Brown, the pre-Flashpoint Batgirl, being depicted by a Trick-or-Treater. After that page garnered widespread attention, DC had the character recolored a couple of times, with different "looks" for the reveler available depending on when you bought your copy from ComiXology. Nevertheless, Nguyen and Fridolfs churnes out a group of fun, audience-friendly, beautifully-rendered one-shots, available for a paltry $0.99, the popularity of which has opened the door to this ongoing arrangement. Actually, it's kind of like how the Peanuts specials turned into The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show...
