Reviews from the advanced media screening for Wonder Woman have been filing in and it's looking like Warner Brothers' best-reviewed DC Extended Universe project to date. It's a movie long past due, the first of its kind to feature a female lead in Gal Gadot.

In a recent panel with People, comic icon Frank Miller described the feature film as "enormous" impact.

"I think it's enormous. She's a character with terrific history and the only memory a lot of people have was of a TV show that was an ancient show that's rarely shown on reruns," Miller said when asked to share his thoughts on the flick. "But of all the comic book characters, that's the only lady in the bunch so naturally she's the one that would emerge."

Perhaps best known for his runs on Daredevil and The Dark Knight Returns in the 1980s — as well as 300 and Sin City in later years — Miller went on to explain that bringing Wonder Woman to the silver screen will also bring up some history in ancient Greek mythology.

"For her to have her own feature will be a tremendous opportunity to bring in all of the mythological context that the character has," reflected Miller. "Then they'll learn what a heroine is in ancient Greek terms, a whole reintroduction to the role of a woman in a heroic world, which they understood back in ancient Greece better than what we seem to."

Wonder Woman hits theaters June 2.
