Leblanc is one League of Legends champion that's fluctuated between overpowered and unplayable through changes and reworks, but further large-scale changes are being put on hold for now.

The champion can easily top lists of frustrating characters to play against, but she currently sits less towards overpowered and more towards underwhelming. Another rework for Leblanc has been discussed in the past, and in a recent Ask Riot post, Riot Meddler agreed that the champion does have some issues resulting from her most recent rework that need addressing at some point.

"We took some time recently to test several variations of new spells on her kit," Riot Meddler said. "While a lot of them were interesting, they didn't feel like the set of changes that would solve her problems and satisfy the desires of both camps of Leblanc players (those that prefer the old version and those that prefer the new one). If we're updating Leblanc again, we need to make sure that it nails it, rather than just creating an additional group of players that prefer now an additional version of Leblanc."

But when it comes to finding that balance between their two goals, Meddler said that they haven't been able to decide on a perfect solution. Considering Leblanc's frustrating history, most would agree that it'd be much better for most League players is the Leblanc update process went a bit slower with a better end result.

With other champions needing more attention after the Runes Reforged update introduces a swathe of new runes and playstyles, the update for Leblanc is being put on hold for a while.

"Having not found anything that we were satisfied with yet, we're opting to table further Leblanc rework explorations for now as we focus our efforts on systems and champs that need more urgent attention (ie. Runes Reforged follow-up)," Meddler continued. "For the time being, we're going to look to tweak some things around to be a mix of both pre- and post-rework Leblanc until we have the time to invest deeply in kit explorations again."

There's no telling when the rework for Leblanc will come, but more details on the changes will likely be revealed after the other issues are taken care of first.
