Avengers: Infinity War Director Discusses When The Trailer Will Be Released

Marvel Studios has now twice shown footage from Avengers: Infinity War, first at D23 Expo and again this past weekend at Comic-Con International: San Diego. Now the fans who couldn't make it to either of the big events want to know when it's their turn.

ComicBook.com figured there would be no better person to ask about when the footage would be released than one of the directors who filmed it, and so we put the question to Joe Russo at San Diego Comic-Con.

"You know, all I can say is that when the footage comes out we want it to be exactly right," Russo told ComicBook.com, as seen in the video above. "So we are taking our time and working on that footage because, as you can imagine, the levels of visual effects in these movies are unprecedented and there are certain things in this footage at Comic-Con that works specifically for a Comic-Con audience. But when we go wide, to a wide audience, we have to make sure that footage works for a wide audience.

"So we're hard at work on that right now," Russo continued. "I'm not going to give a timeline on it because I want to surprise people but, you know, hopefully, they're patient with us."

Still no release window, but then that would ruin the surprise. Marvel fans should keep an eye out because you never know when the Avengers: Infinity War trailer could appear.

For now, if you just can't wait, you can read over our description of the Avengers: Infinity War footage that was shown at D23 Expo.
