Crunchyroll Announces Spring 2022 Anime Slate

The time is upon us at last! As the final days of March roll through, the winter season is ready to change hands with the spring cour. The anime industry has a ton of big releases slated for April, and of course, Crunchyroll is planning to air them for everyone. And now, the streaming service has shared its official schedule with users.

"The seeds have been sowed for the largest programming slate in Crunchyroll's history as it will stream 50 new and returning titles this Spring 2022 season for fans and new audiences around the world on the ultimate anime experience," Crunchyroll shared today in a new statement. The service went on to confirm which shows will be heading to its catalog in April, and it does include major titles like Spy x Family to start.

"Exciting new simulcasts from Japan – subtitled and dubbed – will include SPY x FAMILY, The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War -Ultra Romantic-, Skeleton Knight in Another World, Date A Live IV, The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody, Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie, and The Dawn of the Witch among many, many more," the statement continues. Crunchyroll also confirmed it will continue its usual simulcasts for One Piece, Cue!, BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS, Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai, Digimon Ghost Game, Case Closed (Detective Conan), Requiem of the Rose King, and beyond.

APRIL 1

The Mahjong Soul Shrine is holding truly extrava-kan-t festivities centering around Ichihime! Are you ready to play the game fair and square? Maybe you can draw more Mahjong soul!

APRIL 2

Fanfare of Adolescence (Lay-duce)
At the all-boys Horse Racing School, entrance is incredibly difficult, with only one of every 10 to 20 applicants being accepted. Here students need to not only be book smart, but athletic and in peak physique. Three new students-a popular idol, another from a remote island, and one from England unsure of his path-come to this elite school to pursue their dreams of becoming a jockey.

April 23

A Couple of Cuckoos (Shin-Ei Animation)
16-year-old super-studier Nagi Umino, second-year student at the Meguro River Academy high school, was switched at birth.
