'One Piece' Just Revealed the Secret Behind Sanji's Wedding

Warning! Spoilers for Episode 817 of One Piece below!

The preview for Episode 817 of One Piece teased a huge reveal that would break Sanji's heart, and the result of which has taken fans by surprise.

It turns out Big Mom had other plans for Sanji's wedding, and Pudding is not as good of a person as she seemed.

Pudding had not been telling the truth about her intentions, and revealed that she's actually disgusted at the thought of marrying Sanji. She cackles with a wicked glee as she holds the bleeding Reiju, who had been shot by her two episodes prior, hostage in her room and revealed the true motive behind Big Mom's wedding plans.

Pudding had also revealed that she was the one who shot Reiju. Touting a gun with bullets specializing in their armor piercing ability, this was a side of her not seen by One Piece fans. Also she told Luffy and Nami all about how disgusted she was at the idea at marrying Sanji, and it adds yet another layer to Luffy's distress causing him to want to rip his arms off.

Not only was Pudding not telling the truth, but Big Mom was planning to betray Sanji's family all along. The political marriage between the Charlotte Family and the Germa 66 was only so she could gain their military technology and strength. Pudding, also unveiling her third eye to Reiju, planned to show Sanji her third eye and take him by surprise. As Sanji reeled back in surprise, she instead would shoot Sanji in the head. Acting as a signal, the rest of the Charlotte Family would take advantage of the situation and assassinate the rest of Sanji's family.

The most unfortunate thing, however, is that Sanji happened to be witnessing the reveal of this plan outside of Pudding's window. As she revels in the darkness of the Charlotte Family plan, Sanji's heart breaks into pieces in the middle of the rain.
