'One Piece' Is Preparing to Reveal [SPOILER'S] Darkest Secret

The next episode of One Piece teases a Sanji who's happily getting ready for his wedding, but as a dark plot hatches things are going to change very quickly.

Episode 815 of the series saw Sanji's sister Reiju sneaking through Big Mom's castle in order to speak with Sanji, but was shot by a hidden assailant. Both the answer to this mystery, and the hidden nature of Sanji's fiancee Pudding are about to revealed in full.

The Episode 817 preview sees Sanji standing outside of Pudding's room, and is suddenly saddened by something. But fans will note that Reiju is also there, still bleeding from the gunshot despite Pudding's seeming worry over it at the end of Episode 816.

Fans who've been keeping up with the manga serialization have already been tuned in to the "dark plot" and "secret" teased in the preview. It's revealed that Pudding was the one who shot Reiju, and is only stringing Sanji along. It turns out that Pudding absolutely hates the idea of marrying Sanji, and takes on a completely different personality than she had shown to Sanji in the past.

Laughing maniacally, Pudding also details the Charlotte Family's true agenda for the wedding. It wasn't to unite their family with Sanji's, but to instead steal their military technology. Big Mom plans to assassinate the Germa 66 during the wedding ceremony, and take the technology once the union was complete.

But the kicker here is that Pudding is going to use her hidden third eye, and show it to Sanji at the wedding. Assuming she'd take him by surprise at this sight, Pudding would then shoot Sanji and signal the start of Big Mom's plan to the rest of the family.

As shown in the preview, however, Sanji is there to witness Pudding revealing all of this and is heading for more than a few heartbreaks.

Eiichiro Oda's One Piece first began serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997. It has been collected into 87 volumes, with a few chapters yet to be included. It has been a critical and commercial success worldwide with many of the volumes breaking printing records in Japan. The manga has even set a Guinness World Record for the most copies published for the same comic book by a single author, and is the best selling manga series worldwide with 430 million copies sold worldwide.

One Piece is currently in the middle of the "Whole Cake Island" arc and is now streaming on Crunchyroll.
