At their investor conference call, Walt Disney executives revealed to those listening that they purchased Lucasfilm Limited for what they considered essentially to be the cost of Star Wars, meaning that the Indiana Jones franchise, production and post production facilities at Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound, and a number of other properties, both physical and intellectual, held by Lucasfilm were a gimme. That apparently didn't sit too well with Samuel L. Jackson who, in a paparazzi video on TMZ, told a photographer that Lucas "got cheated" selling the company he founded to Disney for $4.05 billion. Jackson, who starred in Star Wars episodes I, II and III, also stars in the Marvel Studios movies from Disney as Nick Fury, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Like Star Wars, Jackson's relationship with Marvel Studios predates Disney's purchase of the company. Jackson is the fourth highest-grossing actor of all time, coming in just behind Star Wars star Harrison Ford, who some are speculating could be asked to reprise his role as Han Solo for the upcoming sequels (though most agree it's unlikely he would accept).
