Judging by the bloody claw in the foreground, it seems the potentially fatal wound may have been delivered by the Green Goblin, who also returned in Miles Morales Ultimate Spider-Man #1.Of course, this is just a cover and covers aren’t always entirely accurate in how they represent the story. Also, Brian Michael Bendis does enjoy getting his fanbase riled up, but this an awful lot of stuff happening to Miles all at once. One possible explanation: Miles receives a not-quite fatal wound that, for some reason, requires him to make a jaunt over to Earth-616 to recover, explaining his hanging out with the X-Men and possibly making him available for the upcoming Spider-Verse event and/or the long rumored sequel to Spider-Men.Or, maybe it’s just a cover meant to get your attention. We’ll see.Miles Morales Ultimate Spider-Man #2 hits stands next week. You can see an exclusive preview here.
