Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has kicked off a new Skype campaign that will allow one fan to join a conference call on Skype with the cast of the film.

Here's how they describe it:

To mark the movie release, Skype and Marvel are giving one lucky fan a spot on a group video call with the cast. So send us a video message with your best question by Friday, July 11: we'll pick our favorite to join the call.

The online telephony service is also giving fans a ton of new art assets, including avatars to use on Skype Mobile and downloadable promotional images of each of the main Guardians. you can see them, and Gunn's introductory video, below.

In addition, they're looking for Marvel cosplayers "to get their alter-egos in front of a panel of Marvel experts. Round one: send a pic of you as a Guardian, in a Skype chat, by Monday, July 7. 10 finalists will be selected and have the chance to win awesome prizes!"

To mark the release of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, we're offering one lucky fan the experience of a lifetime — the chance to join the cast on a Skype group video call! To enter, just ask the cast a question (any question!) and send it our way. If we choose yours, you'll join the call. Simple as that!
