Just when we thought that Hot Toys’ life-sized Hulk Buster armor couldn’t get any more impressive, the gigantic statue stepped its game up even more.

As the Hulkbuster, and the rest of the life-sized Avengers figures (which you can read more about here), got cozy at Hot Toys’ Exhibition in Hong Kong’s Hysan Place and Lee Theaters, Hot Toys revealed that the gamma-crushing armor actually opens up to reveal the Iron Man Mark XLIII inside. As a video of the armor reveals, the exo-suit’s head capsule and main chest really can open up.
Alas, this reveal also comes with a hint of tragedy. Now that we know the Hulkbuster is occupied, it all but guarantees that we’ll never get to hop in the war suit for some Banner bashing. Still, a life-sized Hot Toys statue isn’t the worst of consolation prizes.
