The X-Men film franchise’s senior Professor X, Patrick Stewart, dropped by the set of X-Men: Apocalypse in Montreal, as seen in the below photo from director Bryan Singer.

Stewart can be seen alongside Singer and Jason Reitman (Thank You for Smoking, Juno), sitting behind-the-scenes on a shoot.

Now, before conspiracy theorists and fans start going crazy, note that Stewart is behind-the-scenes, not even remotely in character, and has already stated that he won’t be in X-Men: Apocalypse (though he may be in the next Wolverine movie). He was in Montreal to host a gala during the Lots of Laughs festival, and likely tagged along with Reitman when the writer/director went to the Apocalypse set to pick up Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender, who will be performing in Reitman’s live-read of The Big Lebowski.
