The 5 Comics You Should Read This Week: May 24th Edition

It’s new comic day’s eve here at ComicBook.com, and with the myriad of excellent titles out on shelves right now, it can be easy to get a bit overwhelmed at the choices.

While your pull list might already be full, there are plenty of books that are worthy of your attention this Wednesday, including the five books highlighted on this list. Whether the book is a great jumping on point, a big finale, or just something different than the predominant superhero fare, there’s something here for everyone. Of course, there are more than five books worth your time this week, so here are a few runners-up that you should definitely check out if your wallet permits.

Venom #150 kicks off Eddie Brock’s return to the character and is written by David Michelinie with art by Tradd Moore, Ron Lim, and Gerardo Sandoval. The description is included below.

Jamie Lovett: Mass Effect: Discovery #1

The comic universe has finally caught up to Andromeda in Mass Effect: Discovery #1. The book follows a new character with a mission to infiltrate the initiative and rescue a contact from the inside. Fans who have played the game will unearth a new layer of canon for their favorite universe, and hopefully, some of the delightful characters from Andromeda will make appearances.

Charlie Ridgely: Totally Awesome Hulk #19

Marvel’s deadliest team is teaming up arguably its most powerful hero in the new Weapons of Mutant Destruction crossover, and it all starts this week in The Totally Awesome Hulk #19.

Matt Mueller: Rapture #1

Valiant is doing something completely different with its new Matt Kindt helmed Rapture miniseries, and it all kicks off this week. Fans are anticipating the return of Shadow Man to the Valiant Universe, but the universe truly hinges on an unpredictable 12-year-old girl named Tama.
