When Zack Synder’s Justice League finally hits the screen in 2017, it will feature a team of heroes who are accustomed to working on their own, and the shaping of that new team dynamic appears to be a constant focus of the upcoming film.

During a recent visit to the Justice League set, our on-site reporter Brandon Davis was on hand when Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot was asked about that dynamic, and how the filming process has been so far.

“I think we’ve found a very very interesting dynamic. I think it’s fun, its funny, it’s different, uh, each and every character brings their own flavor and color to the team, and for me, you know, personally, it’s really fun to play with them, it felt great, they’re talented, and I’m having a great time.”

The biggest revelation in her response is the word “funny”, something that no one would accuse Batman v. Superman of being. I have no issue with the darker take on the DC Universe at all, but you have to have moments of levity to balance that out, and the balance for BVS was incredibly off in that regard. I’m glad to hear that humor is already prevalent even this early in filming.

Gal Gadot is joined once again by Ben Affleck (Batman) and Henry Cavill (Superman), though we don’t know how the latter recovers from the ending of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. The three foundations of the Justice League are joined by newcomers Ezra Miller (The Flash), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), and Jason Momoa (Aquaman).

Things definitely seem to be moving in the right direction.
