SPOILERS for The Flash: "The Flash Versus Zoom" ahead! Don't read if you haven't watched this week's episode!

After last night's series of shockers, we ended The Flash with a powerless Barry Allen, a Zoom who's faster (and healthier... and deadlier) than ever, and Caitlin Snow changing places with Wally West as Zoom's prisoner.

While we don't know what's next for Barry, we do know that Caitlin's in dire straights, and if you're hoping for her to be able to continue to soften Zoom's countenance, like she did in saving Barry Allen, well, you might be hoping for the wrong thing.

"No, that doesn't happen, which is actually kind of refreshing," actor Teddy Sears, who plays the villain, told TVLine. The actor said that "eventually" they'll reveal "why he's taken her, but it won't be immediately clear."

As to his general motivations, Sears says Zoom is "off, he's broken, he is not a linear, level-headed guy. He eventually makes a decision which gets us to where we go next."

When he told Team Flash that he pretended to be a hero to "give people hope - so it could be ripped away from them," that probably told most viewers that he was a little off, yeah.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8pm on The CW.
