A 2025 PS5 RPG with up to 150 hours of content is now free with two of the three tiers of PlayStation Plus: Extra and Premium. Those subscribed to the PS Plus Essential tier don’t have to worry about trying to find 150 hours of spare time ahead of gaming’s busy season because there is now a free download for this tier. How long it will be free with these two tiers, meanwhile, we do not know because Sony does not divulge this pertinent information, per usual. More likely than not, it’s going to be available for free for 12 or 24 months. Whatever the case, subscribers will need all the time they can get.

PS5 users with a PS Plus Extra or a PS Plus Premium subscription can now download Warhorse Studios’ medieval RPG, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, for free. This is not only one of 2025’s biggest and longest games, but one of its best games, as our official review of it highlights. To this end, it has an 89 on Metacritic and nominations for the following at The Game Awards: Best Role-Playing Game, Best Narrative, and Game of the Year. That said, not only do you need to set aside considerable time to play it, but you should also familiarize yourself with the first game. There’s no need to play the first game, as it’s also very long and not as good, but it’s best to watch a story recap because the two games are connected narratively, with the same protagonist and everything.
One of 2025’s Best Games
For those unfamiliar with the game, it is an open-world medieval RPG that puts a priority on realism and immersion. Normally, it costs $69.99. In return, you get an RPG that takes at least 50 to 60 hours just to mainline. Meanwhile, side content brings this total to about 100 hours. And then completionists will need about 150 hours with the open-world RPG.
As for the game itself, it is set amid the chaos of a civil war in 15th-century Bohemia. You play as Henry of Skalitz, who goes from a humble blacksmith to the court of kings in the first game, all in the name of avenging his murdered parents.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is easily one of the best RPGs of the PS5 generation and one of the largest and most content-filled. To this end, to be able to play it all at no extra charge highlights the incredible value of PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium.
