Pokemon Sun and Moon players will finally get to complete their Pokedex.

The Pokemon Company just announced that Marshadow will be distributed in the United States and Europe later this fall. Players can get a card containing a code to unlock Marshadow from any GameStop location in the United States between October 9th and October 23rd. Select retailers in Europe will also hand out codes to unlock Marshadow between October 1st and November 14th. The codes will allow players to unlock Marshadow in any copy of Pokemon Sun and Moon via the Mystery Gift function.

Marshadow is a Mythical Pokemon, meaning that it can't be obtained normally in the video games. A unique Ghost/Fighting dual-type Pokemon, Marshadow can hide in peoples' shadows and can even control others telepathically.

This Marshadow will be at Level 50 and will know the moves Spectral Thief, Close Combat, Shadow Ball, and Force Palm. It also comes holding Marshadium Z, which allows it to use the special Z-Move Soul-Stealing 7-Star Strike.

First revealed earlier this year, Marshadow plays a major role in the newest Pokemon anime movie which came out earlier this summer in Japan. Marshadow travels with Ash in secret for part of the film and plays a major role in Ash's (temporary) death after it turns a pack of wild Pokemon on Ash and Pikachu.

Marshadow is the only Pokemon currently not available to catch in the Pokemon games. The mythical Pokemon was first hinted at in Pokemon X and Y with a "Strange Souvenir," an item that came from the Alola region and is vaguely shaped like Marshadow.

Players can also obtain a Marshadow-GX card in the just released "Burning Shadows" Pokemon Trading Card Game expansion which came out earlier this month.
