For those who toss aside the ideas of quarrels of console wars in order to enjoy a bit of everything, the freedom to enjoy exclusives and different communities is rewarding. Spreading out your interests means owning quite a few accessories though, but the ALL Controller looks to simplify that by making all platforms and games playable through just one controller.

After being in development for the past two years, the ALL Controller unites most gaming platforms – consoles and PC included – under one controller. It's currently planned to support play for several devices including PC, Mac, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. It even has the ability to control mobile devices as well.

The Kickstarter page mentions future support for Nintendo devices such as the Switch, but a recent comment from the controller's official YouTube account says that "It will 100% work with Nintendo Switch!"

But how does the controller accomplish this? With a custom USB driver used with the gaming system of your choice, the controller can support up to 11 USB drivers and seven Bluetooth drivers to allow for a wide array of options.

Those who have some experience using Xbox or PlayStation controllers with emulators where you have to map your controller's buttons and create different profiles for the devices will be familiar with some of the methods that the ALL Controller uses to reach the same results. The built-in LCD in the center of the controller will allow for the creation of up to 16 different profiles, more than enough to take part in games both old and new, even those that didn't originally offer support for controllers.

From the video shown above, several games can be seen being played across platforms. Two of the most notable instances of diversity that the controller is capable of can be seen through the examples of both mobile games and even League of Legends being played with the ALL Controller. Some games might still be better left to a mouse and keyboard, but the point is that you have the option to toss those aside with the ALL Controller.

Though games and gaming accessories coming from Kickstarter in the past have had mixed results while in production or upon creation, the ALL Controller has taken off on the crowd-funding system. Originally hoping for $75,000 in Canadian dollars, it's already earned $151,249, and the Kickstarter isn't over for over another month.
