Earlier this year Funko announced their Operation: ReDorbz Project in honor of Captain America's 75th Anniversary, and now the results are starting to hit social media.
Funko has been sending out giant unpainted versions of their Captain America Dorbz to a number of talented artists and giving them free reign to design it however they like (via SDCC Blog). Now more and more designs are starting to pop up, and the top 75-rated will be shown off at Funko's booth during San Diego Comic-Con.
While there is no word yet on what will happen to the unique figures once the con ends, you can see some of the finished products in the gallery. Some of the standouts include Gabby Zapata's Nicki Minaj video come to life, as well as Picasio's Giant-Man, complete with mid-air Spidey for scale. Eric Tan's crying baby Cap is hilarious and Daria Vinog's flower filled version is lovely.
My three favorites though have to be Kyle Kane's Captain America inspired Flash (from Zootopia) and @Amandadinosaur's feline Captain America. That fish shield just makes me giddy, plus, I love cats, so it's a win-win. Can't forget to mention Jrnanezoo's Luchador Cap either. It's kind of amazing.
