Marvel fans are awaiting the release of The Defenders series later this year, as it marks the first major team-up series in the Marvel/Netflix Universe. First though, Iron Fist gets to make his series debut.
Since Iron Fist is the only Defender who hasn't had a solo series yet, some fans wonder how he will fit into The Defenders as a whole. More will be known about the character when his series hits Netflix on March 17, but actor Finn Jones has teased that Iron Fist will be a much more important part of the team than many imagined.
In fact, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, each actor opened up about their character's role in the movie. Jones said that Iron Fist is kind of the nucleus for everyone.
Check out his comments:
"So Danny Rand is the one who really knows what's going on. He knows how serious the situation is." Jones continued, "Danny Rand, he's the one that kind of drives the group to get sh*t done."
It sounds like, whatever problem the team will face in their series, it's up to Danny Rand to convince them to work together.
Iron Fist will debut its first season on Netflix on March 17, while The Defenders will drop later this Summer.
