Mark Hamill Jokes About His “Son” Sebastian Stan

If you stick around Hollywood long enough, they say you’ll start to see double. Talent will crop up to replace legends, but Mark Hamill is poking fun at the actor gunning for his spot. In a recent Twitter post, the Star Wars icon confirmed he’s very much aware of how much Sebastian Stan is his doppleganger.

Taking to social media, Hamill shared a message with for all geek-friendly fans. The actor posted a viral image of Stan put side-by-side with a photo of his younger self.

Hamill captioned the image, writing, “Sorry to disappoint you but I refuse to say “Sebastian Stan – I AM YOUR FATHER!” (even though, in fact, I am).”

The actor also used a winking emoji and the hashtags “Sorry Not Sorry” and “My Son Sebastian.” So, as usual, Hamill knows how to hit all of the Internet’s best buttons.

Fans have compared Hamill and Stan to one another for some time now. The doppleganger meme became popular last year when Captain America: Civil War was preparing to debut. Photos popped up on the Internet showing Hamill during his Luke Skywalker days compared to a photoshopped image of Stan as the Jedi. The head-shots are almost impossible to tell apart at first glance, and fans quickly create inside jokes about Stan’s father.
