Tom Holland shared a surprise picture from the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming. The actor posted the picture of himself in full Spider-Man costume walking alongside his best friend Harrison Osterfield on Instagram earlier today. The Instagram post was captioned with a lyric from the popular Vanessa Carlton song "A Thousand Miles".
Holland hired his best friend Osterfield as his assistant on Spider-Man: Homecoming, after taking the advice of fellow Marvel actor Chris Hemsworth. Hemsworth recommended that Holland "keep his family and friends close", so Holland brought his best friend along on set.
Holland recently wrapped filming Spider-Man: Homecoming, the first Spider-Man film set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Marvel Studios/Sony collaboration filmed in both New York City and Atlanta, and fans began posting pictures of Holland both in and out of his Spider-Man costume during their filming period in New York.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will feature Parker try to balance his life as a teenager and his superheroic side activities. Michael Keaton will co-star as the movie's main villain (allegedly the Vulture) and Zendaya will play the female lead role (allegedly Mary Jane Watson).
The cast also features Donald Glover (The Martian, Community), Jacob Batalon (North Woods), Laura Harrier (One Life to Live), Tony Revolori (The Grand Budapest Hotel), Tyne Daly (Cagney and Lacey), Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo), with Marisa Tomei (My Cousin Vinny, The Wrestler), and Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man, The Avengers). It also includes Martin Starr (Silicon Valley), Kenneth Choi (The People vs. O.J. Simpson), Michael Mando (Better Call Saul), Selenis Leyva (Orange is the New Black), Isabella Amara (The Boss), Jorge Lendeborg, Jr. (Graceland), JJ Totah (Liv and Maddie), and Hannibal Buress (30 Rock).
