James Gunn turns 45 today.
Gunn is the writer of films such as Tromeo and Juliet, Scooby-Doo, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, and Dawn of the Dead (2004).
More recently he's turned to directing. In 2006 he wrote and directed comedic horror film Slither, and in 2014 he did the same for Marvel's cosmic superhero film Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
Gunn is currently working on The Belko Experiment, a horror film he wrote the script for, and will return to Marvel to direct Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2.
