Scream Factory Releasing Limited Edition Steelbook Blu-rays For 3 John Carpenter Classics

Few filmmakers have left as big of a mark on the world of horror cinema as John Carpenter, the writer/director who has given us incredible films like Halloween, Assault on Precinct 13, and The Thing. Scream Factory has announced that, to honor the filmmaker, they will be releasing steelbook Blu-rays of his seminal films They Live, The Fog, and Escape From New York, all limited to 10,000 copies.

In addition to the limited edition packaging, here’s what you can expect from the discs.

• The cohesive and conceptual artwork you see pictured on all three come to us conceived by artist Nathaniel Marsh (Carrie, The Thing deluxe piece). If you order directly from our site, your packaging will also include a 28.5″ x 16.5″ rolled lithograph of the illustration, while supplies last. The litho will not be available through any other retailer.
• Steelbooks will be shrinkwrapped. The Blu-rays included inside will have the same content (but with different disc label art) that is currently available in their respective Collector Edition releases.

All three films will officially be released on August 1.
