The Avengers Premieres in the UK and Italy

The countdown to The Avengers release here in the United States is well and truly underway, with less than two weeks before Earth's Mightiest Heroes come to collapse the American box office. It's even sooner than that in Europe, where the film opens on Friday, and so we've had quite a bit of overseas press activity for the film, which Disney is determined to make into a massive success after the financial disappointment that was John Carter earlier in the year. Earlier today, we brought you video from the UK premiere and press tour, and now we've got a series of still images, courtesy of Disney promotions, taken at both the UK and Rome premieres and featuring a number of the film's stars and executives, as well as fans dressing the part for what is arguably the superhero event movie of the last decade.
