Avengers Undercover #1 Preview: Who Will Become A Villain?

Marvel Comics has released a preview of Avengers Undercover #1. Writer Dennis Hopeless and artist Kev Walker will continue the story they began in Avengers Arena. The series has Bloodstone, Hazmat, Deathlocket, Cammi, Anachronism, Chase and Nico, still battered and broken from their experience in Murder World, going undercover as members of the Masters of Evil to take the group down from the inside. As time progresses, and the heroes go deeper into the darkness, they begin to see things differently. By the end, one will become a true supervillain. "In many super hero comics, the series jumps from adventure to adventure, never taking the time to dig deep and explore how a traumatic event would truly effect the protagonists. AVENGERS UNDERCOVER turns that situation on its head by using this trauma as the starting point," says Editor Bill Rosemann. "What happens after your teachers abandon you?
