While he hasn’t said the infamous name three times in a row (at least he hasn’t confessed to it anyway) Tim Burton announced that a Beetlejuice sequel is very close to being a reality.
It's been 27 years since Michael Keaton brought to life the poltergeist in the otherworldly horror comedy.
While promoting his next film Big Eyes, the director spoke with Coming Soon about the mischievous ghost with the most and working with Keaton.
"It’s a character that I love and I miss and I miss actually working with Michael [Keaton],” Burton said. “There’s only one Beetlejuice. We’re working on a script and I think it’s probably closer than ever and I’d love to work with him again.”
Burton's next film, Big Eyes, opens Christmas Day.
