Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes Epic Dawn Featurette Released

Twentieth Century Fox has released a new "Epic Dawn" featurette for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

The featurette takes you behind-the-scenes of the film, with the cast and crew talking about how the world of the apes all came to life on screen and in the story.

"It's now 10 years since the rise of the apes," says Andy Serkis, who plays Caesar. "For all intents and purposes humanity is gone."

In Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, a growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes comes to theaters July 11.
